The four-day 2025 Guangzhou Design Week has come to a successful close amid the warm and heartfelt atmosphere of “5G20 Dear,” while the inaugural exhibition “Bian Lichun × Deep Organizing—Storage Design Show,” making its debut at this premier Asian design event, continues to dominate industry conversations with its unprecedented popularity!

As the founder of Liucun Dao, Bian Lichun made his debut at Design Week after 16 years of deep immersion in the industry. This aesthetic extravaganza, centered on spatial storage, set a record for the longest queue within the exhibition hall and emerged as the most talked-about exhibit of this year’s Design Week.
“This is the boldest and most substantive exhibition I’ve seen at this year’s Design Week,” was the most immediate impression among visitors on site. With no lavish decor and no abstruse concepts, it was arguably the “least high-end” pavilion in the entire show—yet thanks to its endlessly winding queues and throngs of people shoulder to shoulder, it became the hottest exhibit of this year’s Design Week!
The reason is simple: it strikes at the very heart of everyone’s needs. It eschews abstruse, esoteric artistry and instead delivers down-to-earth, practical solutions that ordinary people can understand, designers can implement, and every household can easily put into practice.

Inside the exhibition hall, every curated spatial vignette is thronged with visitors snapping photos and pausing to study the displays. There are no minimalist, sparsely populated installations, nor any baffling conceptual art pieces; instead, the space is filled with densely packed yet meticulously organized scenes of everyday life.
The wardrobe is filled with seasonal clothing, yet everything is neatly organized by category; the kitchen cabinets are stocked with pots, pans, and utensils, yet they’re easy to access; the bookshelf is packed with books and stationery, yet each item has its own designated spot; even small, miscellaneous items like action figures, snacks, and cleaning supplies all have their own dedicated spaces.

As the largest exhibit hall at Guangzhou Design Week in terms of the sheer volume of items on display, this space eschews the staged, “decluttered” aesthetic of model homes and instead authentically captures the reality of most households—where belongings are abundant.
This is precisely the original intention that LiuCunDao seeks to convey: Chinese people cherish old objects and have a tradition of frugality and careful household management. In most homes, there are already plenty of such items—after all, a home is designed for everyday living, not for photo-taking or social-media check-ins.

This surge of popularity is no accident. As the pioneer of China’s organizing and storage industry, Bian Lichun has, for the first time, brought the 16-year-old “space–object–person” symbiotic philosophy—rooted in her extensive industry experience—to the Design Week stage, thereby shattering the public’s conventional stereotypes about storage.
In the exhibition, the partitioning logic of drawers, the flow planning of cabinets, and the tiered design of shoe cabinets—every single detail is straightforward and easy to understand, allowing visitors to intuitively appreciate the appeal of the fundamental principles of storage.

As material abundance becomes the norm, people’s yearning for a sense of belonging and spiritual freedom has found its most tangible expression in this exhibition of storage solutions. Truly valuable design is never an esoteric form of self-expression reserved for a select few; rather, it springs from everyday life, serves everyday needs, and delivers practical, universally beneficial innovations.
Looking ahead, Liucun Dao will continue to approach life with reverence, bringing the storage insights gained at the exhibition into more homes, turning storage into an emotional bridge that connects people and their homes, and consistently driving the upgrade of residential space quality in China!
